ABOUT B.S.A
Barcelona Elite Soccer Academy is Central Florida's premier year-round youth academy. It offers a remarkable opportunity for select players to receive elite-level training based on the methodology and innovative UEFA Pro curriculum (License #420) used by some of the world's most recognized and successful clubs in Europe.
Our Technical Director, Jose Luis Ramirez, has applied European training methods mastered by Johan Cruyff, to create his own unique methodology, drawing on his more than 42 years of experience coaching top teams in Spain and worldwide.
B.S.A. aspires to develop players to their fullest potential and inspire a lifelong passion for the sport.
OUR FOCUS
Our goal is to help players develop within the four pillars of the game from the youngest age:
• Technical
• Tactical
• Physical
• Psychological
WHY IS B.S.A. DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ACADEMIES?
There are many reasons why B.S.A. stands out, but these are the ten most important. More information can be found in our “B.S.A. Handbook.”
1. Unique Methodology: Developed by our Technical Director over his 42+ years in professional soccer, our methodology is tailored to the developmental needs of players in each age group, ensuring consistent progress without confusion.
2. Age-Appropriate Training: From the earliest ages, we apply a consistent method adapted to each age group. This allows players to advance smoothly to the next level without disruption or confusion, avoiding the pitfalls of changing coaching styles each year.
3. Consistent Training Approach: All our trainers and assistants follow the same methodology across all teams and programs, under the supervision of our Technical Director.
4. Year-Round Training: Continuity in training is a basic principle in any sport. B.S.A. practices year-round, promoting faster progress in player development.
5. Focused Team Structure: We avoid overcrowding in teams and, like major European academies, aim to have only one team per age group. There are no "B" teams, as all our players are considered "A" players.
6. Player-Centric Development: Everything at B.S.A. is designed with the players' development in mind, not for convenience or business reasons. While training for nine months a year might be more profitable, it is not the best approach for player development.
7. Quality Over Quantity: Contrary to the belief that competing in multiple teams improves skills, B.S.A. focuses on high quality training to prepare players for real competition.
8. Respect for Growth: While many parents dream of seeing their children play "up," B.S.A. respects each player's physical and psychological growth. We carefully consider the right time for players to advance to the next level to avoid frustration, fear, or injury.
9. Discipline and Effort: The discipline and effort required at B.S.A. may not suit every family, but elite athletes develop through self-discipline, commitment, passion, and dedication. These principles apply to coaches, parents, and players, forming a big family.
10. Personalized Progress Meetings: At the end of the season, we hold individual meetings with each family in the Technical Director's office to review their child's progress and discuss the best options for the next season.
